Year of Public Hygiene - Advancing Cleanliness in Singapore

Introduction:

In recognition of our commitment to environmental excellence and public well-being, the Ministry of Sustnability and the Environment MSE has declared 2024 as the Year of Public Hygiene. This initiative emphasizes the joint responsibility between the government and communities for mntning a clean, safe, and livable environment. The core objectives include four key areas: Clean Environment, Clean Water, Clean r, and Safe Food.

Strategic Focus Areas:

  1. Creating a Clean, Green, and Resilient Singapore:

    • In collaboration with NEA, PUB, and SFA, MSE will address public behavior and streamline solutions for cleanliness issues across the environment, water supply, r quality, and food safety.
  2. Public Participation:

    • The Year of Public Hygiene encourages a collective effort from all sectors – including government agencies, businesses, community members, and individuals – to uphold Singapore's basic necessities.
